Our Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is an expert at providing treatment for:
- Language Disorders
- Challenges understanding or expressing language including vocabulary, grammar, or sentence structure (spoken or written).
- Motor Speech Disorders
- Problems with speech precision and clarity due to muscle weakness, discoordination and/or impaired speech planning and execution resulting from acute or progressive neurological conditions.
- Voice Disorders
- Problems with pitch, loudness, quality, or vocal fatigue caused by neurological conditions.
- Cognitive-Communication Disorders
- Difficulties with attention, memory, organization, problem-solving, or reasoning as they relate to communication, often after brain injury, stroke, or due to degenerative neurological conditions.
- Social Communication (Pragmatics)
- Challenges understanding and using verbal and nonverbal communication appropriately (tone, turn-taking, eye contact).
